Randomised trial of the Pill and HRT – your help needed

We know that premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), also called early menopause before the age of 40, affects at least 1 in 100 women.  It causes serious long-term effects of osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease, as well as troublesome symptoms such as hot flushes and joint pains. We advise that women should take oestrogen replacement but do not know the best type of treatment. Nottingham Clinical Trials unit are submitting a proposal to run a randomised trial of the Pill and HRT.

They want the views of women who have POI, whether or not they are on treatment. Please click on this link, which will take you to a short survey:

Replies are confidential, and we are very grateful for your help with research that will ensure women have the best treatment for POI.
