Daisy Network is the only support group in Australia dedicated to helping young women, under the age of 40, diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI).
Please help us raise awareness about POI and build the Daisy Network in Australia by:

  • Starting the conversation about POI with your family, friends and doctors
  • Sharing our posts on facebook and Twitter or create your own post using #POIdaisyOZ
  • Asking your doctor or clinic to display our poster – contact us for details
  • Volunteering your time
  • Becoming a member

Daisy Network is built on people forming connections. Please join us in creating a community for young women with POI and their loved ones. Together we can provide support and be a voice to raise awareness and understanding of this little understood disorder.

Stella Sgambellone’s Story

Daisy Network’s Australia Manager

Stella was diagnosed with POI at the age of 31, just 4 months after giving birth to her sleeping baby daughter, Alexandra. She spent the next 14 years battling the effects of POI while trying to beat the odds of having a family of her own. Stella talks about the joy of pregnancy, the grief of losing her baby and the potential to have more children, life with POI and how helping others is her way of tilting her story into the light. Stella is the Project Manager for a social enterprise hotel that provides vocational support and capacity coaching to people with intellectual disabilities and she volunteers her time to Daisy Network in Australia. You will be able to read her full story here soon.

Volunteer with Daisy Australia

Daisy Network welcomes anyone wishing to volunteer their time and skills into building its support network in Australia. Personal experience with POI is not required to contribute, just a desire to help any way you can by:

Hosting a Daisy Network Meetup

The idea of a Daisy Meetup is an informal gathering in a café, at a park bench or even in someone’s home, where women living with POI and their loved ones can come together and simply chat about their experiences. It’s an opportunity to listen and be heard with the likely guarantee of laughter, tears and yummy delights. If you would like to host a Daisy Meetup, please contact us for more information.

Become a team player

Help make a difference to the lives of Australian women living with POI by joining the Daisy Network’s Australia team or volunteering a few hours of your time on a regular basis. Please get in touch to let us know how you can help.

The sky is the limit

If you have an idea or initiative that will help build the Daisy Network in Australia and support women with POI and their loved ones, please contact us. We are always open to new possibilities!
